Crank And Tilt Controls
A side crank opens and closes the 9 ft canopy from the pole area. The push button tilt changes the canopy angle so the shade direction can be adjusted during use. Under the fabric, 8 ribs spread outward from the center hub as the crank raises the canopy. The tilt button sits near the upper pole section where the canopy angle changes. This layout keeps the main controls on the pole instead of the canopy edge.
Base Setup And Care
A weighted base is not included with this 9 FT patio umbrella. The pole can be placed through a patio table opening or used with a separate weighted base. Closing the canopy when wind is present helps limit movement across the 8 rib frame. The canopy folds around the pole after the crank closes the umbrella. For storage, keep the canopy closed so the 9 FT fabric area stays gathered when not in use.
