This A-frame tongue jack uses a telescoping carbon steel tube with an adjustable drop leg for coupler height changes at the trailer tongue. Rated load capacity is 5000 lb. Vertical travel is 15 in, with a lifting range of 9.65 to 24.64 in. Mounting is intended for A-frame trailer tongues using bolt-on hardware or weld-on attachment.
Drive Mechanism and Manual Handle
The internal drive moves the inner tube up or down to position coupler height during hitching and unhooking. Height is set using the telescoping tube and the drop-leg hole positions. The swivel mount allows the jack to rotate to a stowed position parallel to the trailer tongue.
Installation, Stow Position, and Basic Maintenance
Install using the A-frame mounting pattern with bolts, or weld the bracket to the trailer tongue based on the trailer’s setup. Set the drop leg to the nearest height position, then adjust final height using the lift mechanism. Rotate the jack into the stowed position for towing and lock it using the pivot hardware. Clean the tubes and check fasteners, pins, and adjustment holes during routine trailer inspection.
