The 690cc V-Twin Engine with Electric Start from Honda provides incredible horsepower， quiet operation and is capable of working with most outdoor power equipment， like small vehicles， water pumps and generators. This overhead valve (OHV) air-cooled Honda horizontal shaft engine features a power output of 20.8 HP at 3，600 RPM. This high-output performance is thanks to a high compression ratio of 9.3:1， rapid combustion caused by a hemispherical combustion chamber， insert-style bearings and a crankshaft made of forged steel with pressure-fed bearings. The Honda V-twin engine boasts easy startups with an automatic mechanical decompression system and better fuel efficiency thanks to its digital CDI ignition system. Its fuel economy is comparable to fuel injection systems. To lower fuel usage， the engine has a horizontal， two barrel butterfly valve carburetor with internal vent and rev limiter. This Honda V-690cc engine comes with heavy-duty steel connecting rods and a head and cylinder built into one unit for more airflow and superior performance. It operates quietly as well， thanks to its 36-blade fan and steel-tipped aluminum push rods. Also， the engine boasts reliable oil delivery from a high capacity pump. Honda Oil Alert? protects the engine from low oil levels by detecting them and shutting the engine down before damage can occur. The engine features a large air intake diameter and dual air cleaners for easier maintenance. It’s emissions compliant through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and California Air Resource Board (CARB.)
